On foot / by bike
The town centre of St. Wolfgang is 1 km from the campsite and can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes.
There's a bike rental in town. For e-bikes, we recommend the SEE-BIKER at the entrance to town.
A variety of cycling and hiking tours are possible in the region.
By bus
The nearest bus stop is about 100 m from the campsite ( St. Wolfgang Appesbach ).
From here there are connections to the town centre of St. Wolfgang and to Bad Ischl (European Capital of Culture 2024), via Strobl also to St. Gilgen on Lake Wolfgang and further to Salzburg.
Bus timetables are available at reception and can be found online at Verkehrsverbund OÖVV .
By ship
The nearest boat station is St. Wolfgang Markt , approximately 1.5 km away. You can find Wolfgangsee Schifffahrt boat schedules online.
Bicycles can be taken on board for a fee. Dogs must be kept on a leash and wear a muzzle.
There is a ferry connection between St. Wolfgang and Abersee operated by Schifffahrt Greinz (daily from 9 am to 6 pm).
A great way to explore the lake is with stand-up paddle boards or a pedal or electric boat.
Our boat rental is located directly at the campsite.
Arrival by car / motorhome
Coming from Munich/Salzburg
- Take the A8 to Salzburg, then at the "Knoten Salzburg" motorway junction, drive for approximately 26 kilometers towards Vienna/Linz.
- Leave the motorway at the Thalgau exit.
- Continue towards St. Gilgen am Wolfgangsee and follow the signs to St. Wolfgang.
- Past the football pitches (left side) and the Berau campsite.
- Our campsite is located 1km before St. Wolfgang, on the left side.
Coming from Vienna/Linz
- On the A1 towards Linz/St. Pölten/Pressbaum, take the Regau exit and continue towards Gmunden.
- From Gmunden, continue towards Bad Ischl. From Bad Ischl, follow the signs to St. Wolfgang.
- Past the football pitches (left side) and the Berau campsite.
- Our campsite is located 1km before St. Wolfgang, on the left side.
Arrival by bus / train
If you arrive by public bus or train, we offer a 5% discount (excluding tourist tax).
Coming from Innsbruck/Munich
- By train from Munich to Salzburg main station.
- Continue with bus 150 (bus stop F at Südtiroler Platz) to Strobl bus station.
- At the Strobl bus station, change to bus 546 and get off at the St. Wolfgang Appesbach stop (approx. 100 m from the campsite).
Coming from Vienna/Linz
- Take the train to Attnang-Puchheim station.
- Continue with the regional train to Bad Ischl station.
- From Bad Ischl take bus 546 to St. Wolfgang and get off at the St. Wolfgang Appesbach stop (approx. 100m from the campsite).

The Salzkammergut Cycle Path leads through the Salzkammergut, one of Austria's most beautiful landscapes. The region is divided between the federal states of Upper Austria, Salzburg, and Styria. The cycle path touches 13 of the Salzkammergut's lakes.
Coming from Salzburg/Innsbruck/Munich
- Via St. Gilgen along the Salzkammergut cycle path to Strobl, then follow the cycle path further to St. Wolfgang.

Coming from Vienna/Linz/Graz
